CPR Certification for Adoptive Parents
The 2 year Heartsaver certification offered through the American Heart Association is the credential required for domestic and international adoption.
Please note that there is not a separate child / infant CPR class because procedures for people over 1 year of age are the same. At the end of the class, you will receive a certification stating that you are certified in:
Infant CPR and choking
- Adult / Child CPR and choking
The Heartsaver class can be offered privately to individuals, couples or families if you prefer. Older siblings are welcome to participate in private classes.
