First Aid teaches participants to effectively recognize and treat emergencies in the critical first minutes until EMS personnel arrive. This course provides training on first aid for medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. Topics include (but are not limited to): bleeding, burns, strains and sprains, and management of allergic reactions and seizures.

Pediatric First Aid is geared toward pre-school teachers and others who work with young children. Management of illness and injuries for children is covered. Topics include first aid basics for children, medical emergencies, injuries, and environmental emergencies. This class can be conducted as a stand alone class or along with the Heartsaver CPR & AED class.

All CPR Certifications are issued through the AHA and are valid for a two year period. The AHA is a national voluntary health agency whose mission is to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. American Heart Association Instructor Classes cover adult learner education concepts relevant to teaching and evaluating CPR performance. You will NOT learn CPR during the Instructor course. It is expected that you have excellent CPR skills and the ability to work with groups of all sizes.

Heartsaver CPR & AED teaches CPR, use of an AED (automated external defibrillator) and relief of choking.
